Lightning IS Deadly

We’ve all heard the horror stories of what lightning can do to a golf course and to you if you’re in the wrong place at the wrong time. There have been several golfers who have been struck by lightning. Lee Trevino is probably the most famous player.

Lee was a notorious gambler. He always joked that he would bet $20 when he only had $5 on him. I don’t know if he was gambling with the weather the day he was struck or not but that day Mother Nature got the best of him.

I know I played in lightning before and will do it again. I watch the skies to see how close it is. One time, I saw lightning hit about a Par 5 away from me and I wanted to finish the hole still. My playing partners that day looked at me in amazement. Not because they were in awe of me but because they never saw someone so Fucking Stupid.
