Backyard Putting Greens

This is something that every golfer should consider if you have the space at your home. A backyard putting green is the perfect way to improve your game, spend more time with the kids or even teach your spouse if they don’t presently play. Not too mention, it looks awesome in your backyard as a part of your landscape.

Golf is a game that requires practice and patience to do well at. A backyard putting green will accomplish both for you. You might not know this but 60% of all your strokes comes from what is considered your short game so every shot around the green makes up that 60%. I know its hard to believe but consider this, if you take a 5 on a par 4 chances are you hit two shots up near the green and then chipped on and two putted. Well, three of your five shots was from the short game and that is a perfect 60% of your shots on that hole. Plus consider that if you three putt from 8ft like I do every once in a while; that is equal to three full shots on a par 5. Not fair is it?

Backyard Putting Greens

Backyard Putting Greens cost anywhere from about $2k on the low side to ab0ut $15k on the high side. Many factors contribute to the costs involved in owning a green but the predominant cost factor is the size of the green. Yes… size does matter.

  1. Wouldn’t it be easier to just get the gnivrneog bodies to enlarge the hole a bit? I’d say since there’s 18 holes on the course, then make the hole 18 centimeters. That would help everyone in so many ways; less three putts, lower scores, faster rounds, more rounds played, more income for the courses. Perhaps each green could have two holes, one standard, one large. It would go with play it forward . You could call it super-size my hole or play it large or something.
